Shannon Beador, known for her appearances on “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” has had a year filled with challenges, and unfortunately, it just took a turn for the worse. This past weekend in Southern California, she found herself in a predicament no one would envy – she was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI).

According to law enforcement sources who spoke with TMZ, the reality TV star drove her car onto a residential property in Newport Beach on a Saturday night, and in an unfortunate turn of events, her vehicle clipped the side of a house. Instead of stopping, Beador continued on her way before eventually parking her car right in the middle of the street. Her loyal companion, her dog, accompanied her on this eventful night.

When the police arrived on the scene following a 911 call, Beador apparently tried to play it cool by pretending to be out for a casual stroll. However, it seems her attempts at deception didn’t quite cut it. Officers suspected that she was under the influence and decided to take her into custody.

In addition to being apprehended, Beador’s car was impounded as part of the ongoing investigation into the damage caused to the residential property.

The Newport Beach Police Department confirmed that Beador was booked for two misdemeanors: hit-and-run and DUI alcohol. Surprisingly, she was cited and released without having to post bail. It’s worth noting that, according to sources with inside knowledge, Beador wasn’t filming with Bravo at the time of her arrest, as the show wasn’t currently in production.

This recent DUI incident adds to the rough patch that Shannon Beador has been going through lately. In January, she publicly shared her heartbreak over her split with her boyfriend of three and a half years, John Janssen. She revealed to People that Janssen blindsided her by ending their relationship in November 2022, just weeks after they had wrapped up filming for Season 17 of ‘RHOC.’ She reportedly described the breakup as “absolutely devastating.”

We’ve reached out to Shannon’s team for any potential comments on this matter, but as of now, there’s been no response.
