In a tragic incident that unfolded on Wednesday night in the heart of the Iroquois neighborhood in Louisville, three individuals fell victim to a horrifying shooting, resulting in one fatality and another left in critical condition. The shocking incident occurred at approximately 8 p.m. in 1400 block of Lynnhurst Avenue.
Upon receiving the distressing call, officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) promptly arrived at the scene. What they encountered was deeply unsettling – two adult males and a 17-year-old had all been struck by gunfire. Thankfully, it appeared that the teenager had sustained only a graze wound, offering a glimmer of hope amidst the grim circumstances.
Tragically, one of the adult victims was declared dead on the spot, while the other was rushed to the University of Louisville Hospital in a critical condition, desperately fighting for their life. The 17-year-old, though injured, was fortunate in that their injuries were not life-threatening.
