One dead, 2 critical in SE Portland shooting
SE Portland Shooting Claims One Life
A tragic incident unfolded in Southeast Portland during the early hours of a Sunday morning. One life has been lost, and two others have been left injured following a shooting that occurred around 4 a.m. The location was the intersection of Southeast Foster Road and Southeast 86th Avenue.
In response to reports of the shooting, officers from the Portland Police Bureau’s East Precinct swiftly arrived at the scene. What they encountered was a distressing sight: three individuals had suffered gunshot wounds. Tragically, one of these victims was pronounced dead at the scene. The remaining two victims were rushed to the hospital, their injuries described as life-threatening by the officers on the scene.
As the sun began to rise, detectives commenced their investigation into this heartbreaking incident, classifying it as a homicide. For the time being, the area surrounding Southeast Foster Road and Southeast 86th Avenue will remain closed off, as authorities work diligently to piece together the events that unfolded.
