The department took to Twitter to address the situation, stating, “Additional information will be released once investigated and confirmed.”
The video, which has now amassed over 2 million views on TikTok, depicts a uniformed county police officer seemingly bending down to share an intimate moment with a woman outside a police cruiser, all transpiring in broad daylight at a park. The officer has his arm around the woman’s shoulder, and together they open the door and enter the back seat of the cruiser. The video, shot from a distance, shows children running past the camera, and it cuts off once the two are inside the vehicle.
Details about the incident, such as its location and time, have not been disclosed by the police department.
Angelo Consoli, the President of the Prince George’s County police union, acknowledged that the union is aware of the video and confirmed that the police department is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Consoli emphasized the union’s commitment to supporting its officers during any investigation and urged people to withhold judgment until all the facts have been established. He stated, “At which time, we’ll reevaluate our position.”
