6-year-old killed in Orlando triple shooting

In a tragic turn of events, the Orlando police have made an arrest in connection with a heartbreaking drive-by shooting that claimed the life of a 6-year-old girl.

This heart-wrenching incident unfolded on August 29th, leaving a community shaken and grieving for the innocent lives lost.

The Orlando Police Department has identified the suspect as 15-year-old Nico Brown. He is now in police custody and is facing first-degree homicide charges in connection with the devastating shooting that resulted in the deaths of two victims.

The horrifying incident unfolded at 1141 Poppy Avenue, a quiet residential neighborhood, around 8:20 p.m. Reports flooded in, indicating that two individuals had been shot by occupants of a passing car. The scene was one of chaos and disbelief as law enforcement rushed to respond to the emergency.

One of the victims was a bright-eyed 6-year-old girl named Ajahliyah Hashim. She was inside her own living room when tragedy struck. Quickly, she was rushed to the hospital, fighting for her life. It is with heavy hearts that we report that young Ajahliyah succumbed to her injuries and tragically passed away on Thursday. Her life was just beginning, and her untimely loss has left a void that can never be filled.

Ajahliyah Hashim was not just any child; she was a student at Eagle’s Nest Elementary School, cherished by her family and educators alike. The pain of her absence will be deeply felt by her school community, as well as her grieving family.

The violence did not spare Ajahliyah’s mother, who was also shot during this harrowing incident. She remains in the hospital, fighting for her recovery. The anguish and pain experienced by this family are unimaginable.

Tragically, the list of victims doesn’t end there. A third victim, 19-year-old Isaiyah Wright, arrived at Health Central in Ocoee with gunshot wounds and, devastatingly, did not survive. This drive-by shooting has left our community reeling, grappling with the senseless loss of young lives.

As the investigation into this heartbreaking incident unfolds, the Orlando Police Department is determined to uncover the truth. They believe that Ajahliyah Hashim and her mother were not the intended targets of this senseless act of violence. Our community deserves answers, and justice must be served.
