Monroe carjacking leaves 1 dead and 1 critically injured.
Officials from the Monroe Police Department are deeply saddened to report a tragic carjacking incident that occurred on a Saturday afternoon, resulting in the loss of one life and leaving another individual in critical condition.
This heart-wrenching incident unfolded at approximately 3:30 p.m., prompting a swift response from our dedicated officers after receiving a distress call from the Highlander Market located on E Front Street.
Upon their arrival at the scene, our officers were met with a distressing sight: two victims in immediate need of assistance. Tragically, one of these individuals was pronounced dead at the scene, a devastating and irreplaceable loss to their loved ones and our community. The other victim, fighting for their life, was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.
At this time, the identities of the victims are being withheld to ensure the privacy and respect of their families during this difficult period.
Our dedicated law enforcement personnel are actively working around the clock to apprehend the individuals responsible for this heinous act. We are seeking the public’s assistance in locating these suspects, who are considered to be armed and dangerous. Below, you will find photographs of the suspects, along with an image of the stolen blue Ford F150, bearing a Michigan license plate with the registration EML1504.

Initially, our investigators reported that the second victim had tragically succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. However, we must now provide an update, as of 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, to clarify that this individual is currently undergoing surgery at a hospital, and our dedicated medical professionals are doing everything in their power to save their life.
