A 63-year-old man is now in the hospital, thankfully expected to recover, following a harrowing incident of gun violence in the Arden Arcade area of Sacramento.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office has been diligently investigating the case, shedding light on the unsettling events.
The incident unfolded along the 3600 block of Edison Avenue, not too far from Watt Avenue. It was a sunny afternoon around 2:20 p.m. when tensions escalated into a life-altering moment. Sgt. Amar Gandhi, serving as the spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, provided some crucial insights into the incident.
According to Sgt. Gandhi, the unfortunate altercation began on a driveway between two individuals. As emotions flared, one of them resorted to pulling out a firearm, turning the disagreement into a terrifying ordeal. The suspect fired multiple shots, striking the victim at least three times before making a hasty escape from the scene.
In the wake of this traumatic event, emergency services sprang into action. The victim, wounded but still holding on to life, was rushed to a nearby hospital. Thankfully, Sgt. Gandhi offered a glimmer of hope by confirming that the victim’s condition had stabilized, offering solace to friends and family anxiously awaiting updates.
